If you’ve ever recounted a story or joke with an incredible ending, then you already know the addiction of telling a good story.  I am thrilled when I can bring a character to life for you and then make you worry that I might kill him off.

I like stories that make me think long after I put the book down or turn off the podcast.  Don’t insult me with trivial gore or shallow characters.  Make me care about the person that’s about to get their blood removed without permission. Make me feel something. Make it real. Oh, and make it snappy! I’ve got things to do.

So, that brings me to my stories.  I have a serial podcast of scary stories that take place in Western Maine.

My stories are about horrible things that happen to real characters, not overt gore that happens to some random people. That’s an important distinction. Oh, and the horror is mostly subtle.

Each story is told in about the time it takes for you to travel home from work or run a quick errand. Some are shorter for artistic emphasis and some are a little longer because, well, the characters weren't finished talking. But overall, the premise here is that you can listen to a chapter without having to rewrite your calendar for the week. And, if you happen to be driving across country or stuck in big city traffic, listen to ‘em all in succession.

And then listen again.

And again.
